Production and Capacity Usage in TURKEY
There has been 5-10% shrinking in the packaging industry in local markets as a result of the 1998 economic crisis. The fast improvement of the industry that has been experienced at the beginning of 1990s, could not be observed at 1998 and 1999. Still, the production of
packaging materials keeps being one of the most attractive investment area in our country which is being industrialized and increasingly exporting its products. It has been estimated that the physical capactiy of the packaging industry in Turkey is 2.5million tons and the financial capacity is 2.5billionUSD for year 2000.
